Square Foot Design Our 1x3, 2x3 and 3x3 Handy Beds are all designed with the SQUARE FOOT GARDENER in mind. Each of these sizes have exact 12", 24" and 36" inside dimensions respectively.

Dimensions  All Handy Beds are 6" deep. You can increase the depth of any Handy Bed by stacking one or more Handy Beds of the same size onto it. The Handy Bed 1x3 is our smallest SQUARE FOOT raised garden bed. It measures 14" x 38" on the exterior, and 12" x 36" on the interior.

Capacity  To fill a single, unstacked Handy Bed 1x3 requires about two 40 lb. sacks of topsoil (1.5 cubic feet).

Best uses   The Handy Bed 1x3 fits very well, by itself, in dedicated garden spaces, on lawns, patios, decks, or, as an anchor, in tiered arrangements, or in other configurations with larger and/or smaller Handy Beds.
